How we use website analytics.

Understanding what is useful

Walking With Robots Ltd uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits to this website and improve it. Analytics loads automatically. It records pages viewed and broad actions such as clicking a booking link or completing Guided Discovery.

Google Analytics uses first-party cookies, including _ga and cookies beginning _ga_, to distinguish browsers and sessions. Information includes browser and device details, referral source, approximate location and activity on the site. Google processes this information on its infrastructure, which may be outside New Zealand.

Information kept out of Analytics

Our analytics events exclude names, email addresses, enquiry text, Guided Discovery answers and toolkit contents. We remove query strings, URL fragments and private toolkit identifiers from page addresses sent to Analytics. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in the website tag.
